This 300 foot original stained glass window designed and put together by artist, Robert Sowers, in 1960 at the JFK International Airport, American Airlines Terminal 8. For almost fifty years it served as a beacon for the airline's terminal, and was considered one of the largest stained glass windows of its time.
After relentlessly trying many avenues for a new home for the entire massive window, American Airlines contracted Olde Good Things to safely dismantle the window and have it made available for public resale, rather than succumb to demolition.
Many panels have sold, but many still remain. Each panel contains a unique appearance, that is part of history. They can be installed as a privacy window, or used in many other ways, such as coffee and end tables or combined as to create partition walls. The possibilities are endless. |
